Cooperation between the Aalto University School of Economics and companies is based on customer-friendly services, cooperative projects and long-term partnerships. As services in research, we offer theses, company projects or extensive research projects, all applicable to the needs of companies. We also organize annual, top-class events as builders of bridges between the academic community and companies, and the packaging of different forms of cooperation into a partnership agreement.
Training for business managers and students in continuing education
Our services as a corporate trainer are particularly targeted at experts, managers and entrepreneurs, and training can be full- or part-time. Training is carried out as open-course programs, study modules and individual courses, or courses tailored to individual company needs. Our life-long learning unit, the Open University, Executive Education Ltd. and the Small Business Center have enjoyed great success both in domestic and international assessment.
Research and information for the different needs of companies
Research services for companies can be carried out in the form of a dissertation, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis. The authors of Master’s theses can receive assistance from funds donated to the HSE Foundation. Other alternatives are practical company projects or research projects, from small ones all the way up to publicly-funded projects lasting for several years. Research-based company consulting is carried out through EE's Research and Consulting. The School of Economics' information services are available through the library, the Helecon Information Center. Some of its services are chargeable.
In supporting entrepreneurial activity, the School of Economics operates on many different levels. The Start-Up Center is organized by the School of Economics, and its main role is to assist companies that wish to develop and grow. The training portfolio aimed at entrepreneurs is plentiful, as is the research work on entrepreneurial activity.
Career Services works as a mediator between the recruitment needs of companies and the student resources of the School of Economics in order to achieve the best possible result. The service is flexible and user-friendly.
Fruitful cooperation
Cooperation between a company and the Aalto University School of Economics can be conducted in the form of either a partnership program, a lecture hall sponsoring or a donation. Cooperation can be tailored to suit the needs of companies as closely as possible. The partnership program can also be extended to include other European partner universities and companies.
The aim of alumni activity is to promote the beneficial meeting of alumni and the School of Economics' teachers, students, researchers and all sectors of business. Alumni activity is expanding from the traditional events organized for those educated at the School of Economics, to activities organized for entrepreneurial alumni from the SME sector and HSE doctors now working in the world of business.
