Approximately 19 doctoral theses are published by the Aalto University School of Economics annually. The doctoral theses have been awarded several Finnish and foreign prizes, such as the Research Foundation of the OP Group’s Doctoral thesis award and the Academia Europaean Burgen Scholar award. Several of the School's doctoral theses also made it among the top ten in the European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management and Business Administration (EDAMBA) Doctoral Thesis competition. To ensure the high level of the doctoral theses, engaging foreign experts as pre-printing examiners and opponents has become the predominant trend. The good evaluations and grades handed out by them serve as evidence of the high quality of the research at the School of Economics.
