Welcome to the web page of the Aalto University BOP research group.

We focus on sustainable innovations at and for the low-income individuals and communities in emerging markets - often termed as the Base of the Pyramid (BOP). We are particularly interested in products, services, business models and practices which can alleviate poverty without risking the ecological sustainability. Our research comprises enterprise activities as well as life practices at the BOP.
