The deadline for applications for doctoral program was Monday, May 31. Prospective students submitted 87 applications altogether. The number of applicants was 77 as some applied for two majors.
Each major has an annual subject-specific maximum intake of new doctoral students. This year 67 new doctoral students can be accepted.

Aalto University School of Economics has a single doctoral program in which doctoral students prepare their theses to one of the 14 majors offered at the School. The supervisor is a professor in the student’s major subject. Half of the studies (30 ECTS credits) consist of the major’s courses and another 30 ECTS credits of common courses in philosophy of science, research writing as well as methodology and theories of business sciences.
