Small Business Center

The Small Business Center concentrates on developing small-business activity and promoting entrepreneurship at regional, national and international levels. Based in Mikkeli, in eastern Finland, the SBC has permanent offices in Helsinki, Tallinn (Estonia) and St. Petersburg (Russia). It has operated since 1980.

The SBC has developed a wide range of training and development services. The objective is to help SMEs to retain long-term success and to improve their competitiveness. The SBC provides support to SMEs in the following forms:

• Training and development services
• New Business Center - Business incubation in Helsinki
• Business service centers in Tallinn, Estonia and St. Petersburg, Russia
• Research and information services
• Open University, Mikkeli

In addition to these, SBC participates in various international development projects.
