Master's Program in Finance

Admissions to the Master's program in Finanace are coordinated by the HSE study office.

There are two separate application procedures to enter the Master's Degree Program in Finance. The first one is through internal application. This route is meant for students who have been selected to complete both BSc and MSc degrees at Aalto University School of Economics. The other route is through the external application procedure, which is meant for students who have completed their Bachelor's degree at another university and are only applying to complete the MSc degree in Finance at Aalto University School of Economics.

The eligibility to apply depends on which admission group the applicant belongs to. For the different admission groups and the corresponding entry requirements, see the Admission Guide, available at the Admissions Homepage


Specific Finance Entry Requirements


To be considered for admission the applicants must have taken the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT®) and obtained a minimum score of at least 550 (Total Score).
The applicants are ranked on the basis of the GMAT result (Total Score). In a case of a tie,the applicants are ranked on the basis of the score in the quantitative section of the test.
There are no other absolute program related requirements for the applicants. The admitted students are recommended to gain the knowledge equivalent to the Aalto University School of Economics minor studies in Finance in a way of their choice.
