BSc and MSc admissions

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR 2010 IS OPEN. MASTER'S APPLICATIONS WILL ACCEPTED UNTIL FEBRUARY 26, 2010 AND BACHELOR APPLICATIONS UNTIL APRIL 16, 2010.

The main programs at the Aalto University School of Economics are the three-year Bachelor of Science (lower academic degree) and the two-year Master of Science (higher academic degree) degree programs. In Finland, a university student generally does all five years to obtain a Master's degree.

Those admitted into a Bachelor's program at the Helsinki Campus automatically have  the right to continue studying for the Master´s degree. If the applicant already has a relevant Bachelor of Science degree it is possible to apply directly to a two-year Master of Science degree program.

Students who apply directly to the Master's level degree programs are usually required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

The Aalto University School of Economics admits students to the BSc degree Programs at both the Mikkeli and Helsinki Campuses and the MSc degree Programs at the Helsinki Campus once a year. Please note that the admission criteria will be confirmed each year separately and it may vary from year to year.

For Bachelor Degrees
For all of the BSc degrees offered through the Aalto University School of Economics  (Helsinki and Mikkeli) applicants MUST use the online admissions process. Please fill out your application at www.yliopistohaku.fi before the deadline.

The BScBA in Mikkeli has 4 admission tracks each with their own quota and admission requirements. Please see the Admission Guide BScBA below.

The BSc programs in Helsinki require non-Finnish speakers to take the SAT Reasoning Test for admission. Gaining entry through this method will guarantee you the study right for both the BSc program you applied to and a subsequent Master's degree when your BSc is completed. Please see the Admission Guide BSc (Helsinki) for more information regarding SAT scores and other admission criteria.
