Postgraduate Diploma
To the postgraduate diploma is attached translation of the diploma, a transcript of records and a Diploma Supplement (DS).
To see more information of the structure and information of the postgraduate diploma see the chapter 12 of the Study Guide.
Diploma Supplement
The Diploma Supplement is an appendix to a higher education diploma, aiming to make it easier to understand what it means in terms of knowledge and skills acquired by its holder. The Diploma Supplement is given automatically and free of charge to all doctoral graduates.
The DS is planned to make the student mobility easier since it has a standard EU format. For example, the last chapter of DS includes information on the national education system.
The Diploma Supplement describes the nature, context, level, content and status of the studies completed by the holder. It is a personal document, referring specifically to its holder. The Diploma Supplement does not replace the original diploma and does not guarantee formal recognition of the original qualification by authorities in other countries. On the other hand, it facilitates a sound appreciation of the original qualification, so that it can be helpful for obtaining recognition from the competent authorities or from admissions staff at higher education institutions.
